Despite progress over the last five years in the percentages of those qualifying from higher education, sustained efforts will be needed to reach the headline target of 40% of young people completing higher education.By 2020, 20% more jobs will require higher level skills. Education needs to drive up both standards and levels of achievement to match this demand, as well as encourage the transversal skills needed to ensure young people are able to be entrepreneurial and adapt to the increasingly inevitable changes in the labour market during their career. The broad mission of education and training encompasses objectives such as active citizenship, personal development and well-being. The scope and pace of reforms needs to be scaled up so high quality skills can support both growth and jobs.  The Commission identifies here a limited number of strategic priorities to be addressed by Member States, alongside new EU actions to leverage national efforts. The priorities reflect the Country Specific Recommendations  which the Commission made to a number of Member States and support the Annual Growth Survey 2012.These issues are of direct relevance to the package on Youth Employment to be put forward by the Commission before the end of 2012. The Youth Package will propose new tools to address youth unemployment and facilitate school-work transitions. Modern, knowledge-based economies require people with higher and more relevant skills. CEDEFOP forecasts predict that the proportion of jobs in the EU requiring tertiary level qualifications will increase from 29% in 2010 to 34% in 2020, while the proportion of low-skilled jobs will fall in the same period from 23% to 18%. Transversal skills such as the ability to think critically, take initiative, problem solve and work collaboratively will prepare individuals for today's varied and unpredictable career paths. Attention should be particularly focused on the development of entrepreneurial skills , because they not only contribute to new business creation but also to the employability of young people.


The following activities are undertaken during project realisation :

• Establishment of Project Implementation • Recruitment of project coordinators and other staff• Preparation of project activities• Designation of the internal project authorities for decision making and establishment of communication channels• Putting in place staff training and development programmes connected with project realisation• Setting up linkages with the target group of students• Realisation of the project activites• Monitoring, evaluation and desimination of the project

Main project activities:

1. Kick-off meeting - The first  Transnational Project Meeting in which we will focus on the issues connected with project cooperation and communication, project monitoring and evaluation –2. Blended mobility of VET learners in January 2017 - Worshops for students connected with personal self-confidence and self belief in students ability to enter the workforce; European multiculturalism and diversity, strengthening the awareness of European citizenship;  personal self-confidence and self belief in students ability to enter the workforce.3. Short-term joint staff training event in April 2017 - benchmarking  visit and distance learning workshops for teachers.4. The second transnational Project Meeting in June 2017 - project monitoring and evaluation; preparation of the half-report.5. Blended mobility of VET learners  in September 2017 - Counseling workshop for students. 6. Blended mobility of VET learners in January 2018 - Social entrepreneurship workshops for students and Innovation Camp. 7. The third Transnational Project Meeting in June 2018 - evaluation and dissemination of project's  activities, final project outcomes, the final report.During the two years the project partners schools and institutions will also perform the following project's activities:- technical English blended learning courses for students, - testing students for possession of key competencies and gap analysis,- key competencies workshops,- art workshops.
